BogTheGrog

BogTheGrog is an electronic music producer known for his blend of deep bass, soaring leads, driving rhythms, atmospheric pads, and funky/punky electric guitar riffs and chords.

His musical influences reach far and wide. From the world of rock, Bog’s favorite artists include Between the Buried and Me, Circa Survive, Minus the Bear, Bad Religion, The Dear Hunter, Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads, Cory Wong, and Green Day.

When it’s time to boogy, the dance /pop artists that inspire BogTheGrog the most include CloZee, LSDream, Rezz, Ritmo, Sub Focus, Detox Unit, Virtual Riot, Skrillex, Christian Loeffler and more. Bog is also a proud Swifty and enjoys his fair share of pop music, from Taylor to Olivia, Ariana, and Sabrina. For Bog, great ideas and cutting edge sound can come from anywhere.

BogTheGrog is AI free forever; for twenty years he’s marveled at and envied the engineering of modern music, he couldn’t, in good conscience, claim the creative glory he seeks if a computer was crafting his sound for him. Quite the opposite, Bog builds nearly every synth, bass, and pad from scratch, finding that no preset has exactly the character he hears in his head and believing that this only way to master his own sound.

The energy doesn't stop when he leaves the studio. Away from music, he enjoys surfing, rock climbing, and bowhunting - activities that reflect the same sense of exploration that finds its way into his music. Listening to BogTheGrog is like going on an adventure filled with whimsical tones and textures, and real emotion.

BogTheGrog is also a stay-at-home-Dad and homeschools his two daughters. He is forever grateful to his wife, Sherry, for affording him the opportunity to pursue this dream, providing for the family, and finding the energy and enthusiasm to embrace the EDM scene.
